We’ve used radio frequency to tighten skin for over a decade. The RF waves heat the skin, which in turn shrinks loose collagen and promotes elastin which causes new collagen to form. Traditional RF treatments have worked and worked fairly well.
But now there is an even more effective RF tightening system – the ThermiTight.
ThermiTight delivers this energy within the deeper layers of the skin via a small round-tipped probe. This treatment is especially effective in the neck area and even patients with marked laxity will see improvements.
ThermiTight is ideal for patients who want more results than non-invasive procedures can deliver and DO NOT want surgery.
Why Is Treating Within Such an Advancement?
The short answer is that now your skin is heated where the collagen lives and is formed. We don’t have to go through the surface layers and all the surface nerves to reach the levels where the most action occurs. AND we have precise control of the temperature levels.
This means the dermal layer is heated to a specific temperature, controlled by computer for exactness and skin safety. Increased heat levels combined with precision location of that heat delivery means tighter skin!
What’s a ThermiTight Treatment Like?
ThermiTight is considered a "micro invasive" treatment. Your treatment area will be numbed with injectable lidocaine. This keeps you comfortable throughout the treatment. The tiny ThermiRF™ SmartTip™ thermistor probe is inserted under the skin.
The surgeon applies gentle movements to heat up the tissues to the desired level. Skin safety is monitored with Thermal Image Guidance™. Most procedures last less than one hour. After the procedure, a gentle wrap is applied and you are free to resume normal activities the very next day.
What Should I Expect After Treatment?
Expect some swelling, tenderness and slight bruising. There is no real pain with ThermiTight.
How Quickly Will I See Results?
You’ll see initial results right away that continue to improve. The changes in your skin structure are permanent, but nothing stops aging, so even the new tight collagen will, over time, behave as untreated collagen. Treatments can be repeated in a year or two or longer if you desire.
Can I Use ThermiTight in Other Areas?
Yes. Small areas of loose skin such as that over the knees, under the arms and beneath the bra line area can be treated. Find out more by calling (844) 202-8200 or completing the form on this page.
