Every face tells a story. Our facial skin can reveal aspects of our general health, our age and our background. Simultaneously delicate and resilient, our facial skin bares a map of our life experience. As we age and our skin endures damaging environmental elements like sun exposure and air pollution along with other distressful factors, our skin's quality and health changes. Some skin damage is clearly visible to the naked eye, but much of the deep tissue damage that causes deterioration cannot be seen without the help of our VISIA Digital Complexion Analysis.

At La Jolla Cosmetic Laser clinic each patient is provided with a complementary VISIA Complexion Analysis. VISIA-generated reports evaluate skin features for our medical staff to assist you with creating a customized treatment plan. Six key areas of the complexion are evaluated which include: pigmentation, pores, wrinkles, evenness, bacteria and UV spots/ photodamage. Graphs are created which compare clients to others of the same age and skin type. The VISIA photography and graphs provide us with progress reports as you move through treatment sessions.

Percentile scores depict the percentage of individuals within the VISIA database matching your age and skin type who you scored better than in the skin attributes of evenness, wrinkles, spots and pores. The scores for UV spots and porphyrins represent actual counts, with higher counts indicating more sun damage.
