It is no secret that fall and winter are the best times of year to undergo laser treatments on highly visible areas like the face. The effects of laser treatments include fragmented or full obliteration of the uppermost layer of skin cells. In removing these cells, we create the potential for increased collagen and tissue regeneration. Another result of many laser treatments is that the skin may be photosensitive for up to several days. Now that we’re making our way beyond June Gloom, the last thing most people in our area want is to be confined indoors. We have a solution.
At La Jolla Cosmetic Laser Clinic, we have developed a comprehensive menu of services. Many of them are light and laser-based, but those that aren’t still pack a punch of goodness for the skin. Here, we discuss the value of the OxyGeneo™ treatment that has quickly become known as a super-facial.
What is an OxyGeneo Facial?
In the past few years, we’ve seen a transition in the world of aesthetics. It used to be common for women, in particular, to visit their local day spa for a pampering facial with cleansers and creams that left them smelling of lavender and citrus for days. Now, there is a strong desire for a facial to be both pampering and productive. The OxyGeneo meets that requirement. This facial has three distinct steps, each of which synergizes with the others. The result is that the skin is affected at a deeper level.
Exfoliation
The first step of this innovative facial is similar to microdermabrasion. Using a small handpiece, the provider gently dislodges the upper layer of dead and damaged skin cells. This isn’t standard exfoliation that involves crystals and suction. The handpiece of the facial device is a compressed pad of citric acid and sodium bicarbonate that naturally clear the skin’s surface of debris.
Infusion
Infusion and cleansing take place simultaneously using a second applicator. There are two serums to choose from: NeoBright™ for skin brightening and texture improvement and NeoRevive™ for tissue rejuvenation. During this second phase of treatment, vital nutrients are infused into the skin for deep absorption.
Oxygenation
Finally, the Capsugen handpiece causes CO2 bubbles to burst on the outer layer of the skin. This brings oxygenated blood to the surface and increases the flow of blood through superficial capillaries. This third phase of the 3-in-1 facial pushes nutrients deeper beneath the skin’s surface.
Some people also choose to add a boost of ultrasound to their OxyGeneo facial to promote more profound tissue rejuvenation.
A pampering and productive facial is one that gets results. After an OxyGeneo treatment, patients can expect:
- Plumper, more hydrated skin
- Subtle increase in tissue volume
- Smoother lines
- Renewed radiance
- NO downtime
