Your eyes are one of the first regions to show signs of aging. Fortunately, you can restore a youthful glow to your eyes by following these simple makeup tips:
- Crepey eyelids – If your eyelid skin has a crepey tone, apply a small amount of concealer or illuminating foundation to provide a light, even base. Then use your fingers to apply long-lasting cream shadow.
- Bags under the eyes – Bags under the eyes can give you a worn, fatigued appearance. To make matters worse, these bags can press against your eyelashes when you blink, creating smudges that accentuate your tired appearance. Use a roller-ball style de-puffer containing caffeine, hyaluronate, and advanced peptides to tighten the skin underneath your eyes and reduce the appearance of bags.
- Hooded eyes – If you experience hooded eyes, use a large blending brush when applying powder eye shadow. Also, choose a light or medium taupe shade in a matte shadow for best results.
- Droopy eyelids – A pencil does a great job at making your eyes look like they are lifting slightly upwards. This is an effective way to minimize the appearance of droopy eyelids. Brown or gray pencils tend to achieve better looking results than black pencils. Another effective technique is to use a small amount of a light-colored concealer pen at the outer corners of your eyes.
While these makeup tips can help make your eyes look much younger, they can be time-consuming to apply every day.
