WHAT IS INCONTILASE?
For the first time in human history there is non-surgical, no downtime, effective procedure to treat stress urinary incontinence. Traditionally the options were invasive and costly surgery that required hospitalization, and recovery time or there were Kegel exercises with marginal effects. IncontiLase is a minimally invasive, comfortable, and quick laser procedure for the treatment of mild to moderate stress urinary incontinence. Incontilase utilizes non-ablative, fractional laser beams to remodel collagen, synthesize new collagen fibers, and strengthen the region of the anterior vaginal wall to greater support the bladder. In short IncontiLase is nonsurgical support for the bladder.
WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM INCONTILASE?
Anyone suffering from mild to moderate stress urinary incontinence which is involuntary urine leakage. Stress Urinary incontinence (SUI) is a common problem in women that causes the involuntary loss of urine during normal activities such as coughing, sneezing, laughing, or engaging in physical activity such as running or climbing stairs. Many women find with every birth, and normal aging the problem increases in severity. SUI can be embarrassing and cause women to refrain from many activities they used to enjoy.
WHAT CAUSES STRESS URINARY INCONTINENCE (SUI)?
Any weakening of the urethral closure mechanism can cause SUI. This could be result from reduced muscular tone in the pelvic floor region mainly caused by natural aging, vaginal childbirth, and obesity.
WHAT CAN EXPECT DURING MY PROCEDURE?
IncontiLase is minimally invasive and non-surgical, it is painless, comfortable and quick. No surgery is performed, there is no ablation, cutting, bleeding or sutures. No anesthesia is required. Like with any cosmetic gynecological procedure at the clinic you are evaluated by a qualified, over 25 year practicing OBGYN physician.
This procedure has been tested and used in Europe since 2010 and in Canada since 2013. It has proved successful in producing a tightening effect to the vagina through stimulation of collagen regeneration and remodeling. This procedure (in 2014) has not yet been FDA approved. I understand that it is being used on an “off label” basis. “Off label” use of Intimalase/Incontilase/Renovalase/Prolaplase Laser has been explained to me by Physician/Physician Assistant/Nurse. I accept and consent to the off label use of Intimalase/Incontilase/Renovalase/Prolaplase Laser.
