Dr. Faryal Siddiqui
BOARD CERTIFIED DERMATOLOGIST
Dr. Faryal Siddiqui, MD, FAAD, is a Board-Certified Dermatologist who joined La Jolla Cosmetic Laser Clinic in September 2021, bringing Dermatology expertise to our practice. She specializes in integrating both medical and cosmetic treatments to enhance skin health and appearance. Additionally, Dr. Siddiqui offers a comprehensive range of surgical services, including skin cancer management, benign excisions (such as lipomas and cysts), and elective mole removals.
Dr. Siddiqui earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences with Honors from the University of Texas at Austin, during which time she contributed to obesity-cancer research and studied abroad at the University of Oxford in England. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Texas Health San Antonio, where she was elected to the Gold Humanism Honor Society by her peers. During medical school, Dr. Siddiqui was actively involved in dermatology-focused student-run clinics and participated in medical mission trips to both Central America and Africa. She completed a highly competitive Transitional Year internship at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu before returning to her alma mater for her dermatology residency at UT Health San Antonio, where she served as Chief Resident in her final year.
Dr. Siddiqui has authored book chapters for a variety of print and online textbooks and has presented cases at scientific meetings in the United States, Italy, and Singapore. She is committed to expanding her expertise by attending domestic and international conferences annually.
Outside of her professional work, Dr. Siddiqui is an avid reader, passionate traveler, and amateur surfer. Her personal interests include exercise, longevity medicine, skincare, cooking, and wildlife. In her free time, she enjoys spending quality moments with family and friends and taking long walks along the many scenic beaches of San Diego.
