Dr. Jameson Loyal is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained laser and cosmetic dermatologic surgeon, recognized for his elevated, science-driven approach to aesthetic medicine. He is widely known for his philosophy of “Suspending Patients in Time,” helping individuals look refreshed, confident, and authentically themselves, year after year, through thoughtful, consistent care.

At the core of Dr. Loyal’s practice is his signature Aesthetic Longevity Plan, a highly individualized, one-size-fits-one approach designed to support both short- and long-term aesthetic goals. Academic Distinction & Training

A native New Yorker, Dr. Loyal earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics from New York University’s Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, graduating Cum Laude as a Presidential Honors Scholar and Founders’ Day Award recipient. He completed his undergraduate degree in just three years before earning his medical degree from the University of Vermont (UVM) College of Medicine, where he received multiple academic and research honors. He completed his internal medicine internship at UVM, followed by dermatology residency training at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, where he served as Cosmetic Dermatology Chief Resident. Subsequently, Dr. Loyal completed an ASDS-accredited fellowship in laser and cosmetic dermatologic surgery at the world-renowned Cosmetic Laser Dermatology in La Jolla, California, where he later joined the practice prior to returning home to New York City.

Beyond the Practice

Outside of his professional work, Dr. Loyal is a passionate traveler and self-described “epicurean” who is always ready with a restaurant recommendation. His discipline in the clinic is mirrored by a lifelong passion for aviation; he has been flying airplanes since high school.

Dr. Loyal has advanced training in the full range of laser, light-, and energy-based devices, including fully ablative carbon dioxide and erbium laser resurfacing, non-ablative lasers, picosecond lasers, intense pulsed light, photodynamic therapy, and radiofrequency microneedling. He is a leading authority in comprehensive laser resurfacing, where he customizes sophisticated laser stacking protocols, layering multiple, precisely selected technologies in a single session to address sun damage, discoloration, textural irregularities, fine lines, wrinkles, and skin laxity. Patients travel nationally and internationally to seek Dr. Loyal’s expertise in these advanced resurfacing procedures.

In body aesthetics, Dr. Loyal is highly skilled in both tumescent liposuction and non-invasive body contouring technologies, frequently pairing these treatments with skin tightening modalities for optimal refinement. He also treats unwanted veins with sclerotherapy, having trained under the world’s leading authority in the procedure.

Dr. Loyal is particularly sought after for his multimodal treatment protocols, in which he strategically combines injectables with laser and energy-based technologies in a single session. This integrated approach activates the body’s innate regenerative processes, achieving comprehensive rejuvenation from the inside out.

Research and innovation have been central to Dr. Loyal’s career. He has served as an investigator in more than 50 clinical trials in collaboration with leading pharmaceutical, medical device, and aesthetic companies, contributing to the development of new technologies, treatment protocols, and FDA approvals. He continues to serve as a consultant to industry leaders and publishes extensively in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks. Frequently invited to speak at national and international scientific meetings, Dr. Loyal is deeply committed to advancing the field of laser surgery and cosmetic dermatology through education and mentorship.

Dr. Loyal is a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society and has been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor Rising Star. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.
