SPLENDOR X™: Latest Hair Removal Technology
SPLENDOR X is unlike any other hair removal system in the world. It is the first Nd:YAG and Alexandrite laser system to be powered by BLEND X™ technology for unprecedented power, speed, versatility and coverage rate.
What is BLEND X™ Technology?
Most laser hair removal technologies on the market use one of two wavelengths to target the hair follicle:
- The Alexandrite wavelength at 755 nm, which is ideal for treating skin tones 1, 2 and 3 (fair and light skin tones). It is highly absorbed in melanin and is therefore not safe for use on darker skin tones.
- The Nd:YAG wavelength at 1064 nm, which is ideal for treating skin tones 4, 5 and 6 (4 being tanned skin and 5 and 6 darker skin tones) as the absorption by melanin is much lower than with the Alexandrite wavelength. This wavelength is highly absorbed in oxyhemoglobin, which affects the blood supply to the hair follicle.
BLEND X Technology Synchronizes Both Wavelengths
In order to solve these challenges, Lumenis introduced BLEND X technology. This unique technology is the first of its kind to synchronize Alexandrite (755nm) and Nd:YAG (1064nm) wavelengths to fire with adjustable proportions.
With this technology, each pulse can be BLEND Xed when fired with varying proportions to tailor treatment, and customized to fit the patient’s specific skin type, hair color and thickness for the most effective treatment.
BLEND X technology is used to power the SPLENDOR X solid-state laser device. With this powerful, fast and versatile device, treatment providers can synchronize Alexandrite and Nd:YAG wavelengths to customize treatment options for patients with different skin and hair type combinations.

Advantages Of The New SPLENDOR X
- BLEND X Bilateral laser emission of Nd: YAG (1064nm) and Alexandrite (755nm) wavelengths, synchronized adjustable proportions
- Square shape spot sizes For uniform skin coverage, eliminating overlap and hotspots.
- Fast treatments Large spot size and rapid repetition rate
- Treatment versatality and skin solutions Wrinkle reduction, vascular and pigmented lesions
Excess Hair Can Be Embarrassing
Laser hair removal is an effective solution for unwanted hair. If you are uncomfortable with hair on your neck, face and body then it’s time to take some action. The days of tweezing, waxing, depilatories and electrolysis are gone. The future is here.
During the procedure, the laser pulses for a fraction of a second, long enough to heat up the hair and significantly impede the hair follicle’s ability to re-grow. This high tech process treats numerous hair follicles at a time. Therefore, we can treat even the largest areas of the body both quickly and effectively. An important part of the procedure is the cooling of the skin. It protects and cools the upper layer of the skin before, during and after each laser pulse while directing the laser energy to the hair root.

FAQs
What Are The Benefits Of Laser Hair Removal Over Other Methods Of Hair Removal?
Unlike shaving, waxing, depilatories and tweezing, laser hair removal provides a long-term growth delay and permanent hair reduction. Laser hair removal is fast and effective. Where electrolysis treats a single hair at a time, laser hair removal can cover large areas rapidly.
What Does Laser Hair Removal Feel Like?
Laser hair removal is typically a very tolerable procedure. On a scale of 1 to 10 most patients rate it at a 3 to 4. The procedure is often likened to a rubber band snap. If you are super sensitive, you may still want a numbing gel here or there, but this system is one of the very few on the market that do not require pre-treatment gels.
How Long Does Treatment Usually Take?
Depending on the area to be treated, laser hair removal can take only a few minutes or over an hour. The most commonly treated areas, bikini line, upper lip, chin, underarms typically require less than 20 minutes for treatment.
Can I Return To Work And Normal Activities Immediately?
Yes, you can return to work and normal activities immediately. After laser hair removal, the treated site may feel like mild sunburn for 24 hours or more. Slight redness and swelling surrounding the hair follicles is normal and is actually an indicator of a good clinical response. Although irritating preparations (glycolic acid, retinoids, etc.) should be avoided, make-up can be applied to the treated area shortly after treatment.
How Does Laser Hair Removal Work?
The laser energy is absorbed by the melanin pigment in the hair follicle and converted to heat. The heat injures the hair follicle preventing its ability to produce hair.
Who Can Be Treated?
The SPLENDOR X is safe and effective on all skin types and tanned skin. Because it is absorbed by melanin, laser hair removal is most effective on darker hair.
How Many Treatments Are Required?
Every patient is different. In general, lighter skin patients will require 3 to 6 treatments and darker skin patients will require 4 to 8 treatments spaced approximately 4 to 8 weeks apart to achieve satisfactory results. On the average most patients can expect to achieve a 50-90% permanent removal rate.
